1. How is Pressure Relief Valve working?
A safety valve serves a similar purpose to a safety dump valve. When there is a pressure spike in the system, the safety valve, opens and releases water in order to relieve the pressure and thereby protect the pump. However, unlike a safety dump valve, it does not stay open and the unit can continue to be run. Water may appear to ‘drip’ from the valve as it releases pressure every time there is a pressure spike – this is normal.It is also known as a pressure relief valve.
Please note, the valves supplied are not pressure adjusted. They become a safety device only when adjusted by the installer of the machine.
