Insulator's anti-fouling performance mainly depends on the structure of the product and the shape of the umbrella skirt. Much work has been done in this area. Through the design optimization, artificial pollution test optimization and natural pollution test optimization, finally determined the umbrella skirt of the insulator with angle under the umbrella and the umbrella.

 

 

 

An insulator with a rated voltage of 126kV, 252kV bending and breaking load of not less than 12kV and a climbing electrical ratio of 25 mm/kV, developed by the umbrella skirt, can withstand the highest operating phase voltage for a long time at 0.12 mg/2 salt density, i.e. the climbing electrical distance of insulator III, and can withstand the pollution of the IV salt equivalent.
