When selecting epoxy resin for river tables or live edge products, the intended use must be determined. If the river is very deep, 2 inches or deeper, it must be use deep pour resin or layered with table top epoxy resin. Most craftsmen choose to use thick casting resin to fill the river water. Because deep pouring of epoxy resin generates much less heat, it can be poured thicker. The maximum pouring depth for each application depends on the heat generated during the reaction.
