Bag dust collectors are effective in filtering dust-containing gas by using textile filter cloth or non-textile felt to make filter bags. When the gas enters the collector, the heavier and larger particles settle in the ash hopper, while the finer dust particles pass through the filter material where it is retained and treated.

When the dust-containing gas enters the ash hopper, coarse dust falls due to the collision of the guide plate and reduction of gas velocity while the remaining fine dust particles enter the filter bag chamber with the gas. The filter material is effective in retaining dust through various effects such as inertia, diffusion, barrier, hooking, and static electricity.

The filter bag is cleaned through gas backwashing by removing the dust accumulated during operation and discharging it to the ash conveying system. It can also be cleaned through spraying pulse airflow. Bag dust collectors have a wide range of air volume, high filtration accuracy, and high temperature resistance.
