To understand what the aluminum casting process is, we must first look at the properties of aluminum. Aluminum is the most abundant metallic element in the Earth's crust, forming nearly 8%. It always occurs as a compound and some of its minerals are bauxite, cryolite, corundum, bauxite, sapphire, turquoise, spinel and silicates such as kaolin, feldspar and mica. Bauxite is a kind of ferrous aluminum hydroxide, which is the basic raw material for the production of metal aluminum.

Alumina (alumina) is made by chemical treatment to remove impurities from bauxite. The bauxite is pulverized, mixed in a solution of caustic soda (sodium hydroxide), and then heated by steam under pressure to dissolve the alumina. Precipitation and filtration remove impurities. After cooling, the solution was stirred to form hydrated alumina crystals. These crystals are washed and then dried in a long rotary kiln. The final product, alumina or alumina, is a very hard crystalline substance with the appearance of refined sugar. Four pounds of bauxite yields about 2 pounds of alumina.

Aluminum is made by electrolyzing an alumina solution in molten fluoride; this electrolysis takes place in the reduction tank or cell of the reduction unit. Aluminum reduction plants produce pure, high-quality primary aluminum. The reduction process removes oxygen from alumina, which consists of nearly equal parts aluminum and oxygen, and leaves pure aluminum. Two pounds of alumina yields one pound of aluminum.

Charge the furnace

The charging of the furnace is the first step in the casting process. Foundries are equipped with the following equipment in order to prepare a mixture of raw materials to be melted to make alloys. The equipment is as follows:

Aluminum casting equipment

Preheat Oven: Used to preheat prime (Prime is 99.9% pure aluminum before it is added to the oven). The heat comes from the heat exchanger and no additional gas is required. Preheat to remove moisture from the gold. When the metal is placed in a furnace, the presence of water can cause an explosion when the water evaporates rapidly.

Reheater: Hot air from the furnace flows through a series of tubes, where the air is heated, which in turn causes the furnace's burners, and in turn, reduces gas consumption.

Front End Loader/Forklift: A front end loader is an elevator with a large bucket used to add scrap to the furnace when it is ready to be charged. A forklift is used to add spindles to the side door of the furnace, as well as to remove scum and stir the mixture.

Stove: Used to melt aluminum and cast logs. The stove is turned on for good reverb. Opening the well means a nice opening in the front of the stove where scrap is added. Reverberation is defined as when the flame does not melt the aluminum, but the heat that melts the walls and ceiling of the furnace. The following diagram will illustrate the above definitions.

The furnace is powered by natural gas 95-98% of the time. Propane gas is used when there is a gas cut. The stove is made from 18" - 24" refractory, a heat-resistant material that comes in two forms: brick and pour mix.

Q: How long can I receive the goods after placing the order?
A: 15-30 working days after receiving the deposit (depending on the quantity).
 

Q: What is the thickness of the anodizing? Can you do 12um?
A: Our normal thickness is about 10 um. Yes, we can do 15 microns and above.

Q: What colors can powder coatings be used for? The thickness of the powder coat?
A: We can do any color for powder coating as long as you can provide color samples. Our usual powder coating thickness is 60-80um.
