Basic Information
The application fields of guide rail profiles are very wide, including module profiles, hanging rails, slide rail profiles, etc. Guide rails can be seen in both industrial and civil fields. The guide rail profiles are almost all made of aluminum alloy, why is this? Can other materials not be used as guide rails?
In fact, the characteristics of aluminum alloy profiles are excellent deformability, corrosion resistance, and smooth surface, which is an ideal material for guide rail profiles. Let's take a look at why other materials are not suitable for guide rails?
1. Iron, iron cannot be extruded, and it is easy to corrode. Once rusted, the surface loses its smoothness. The guide rail has to be scrapped.
2. Stainless steel. Although stainless steel is not easy to rust, the hardness of stainless steel is too high and it is not easy to form. It can only be bent simply to make an ordinary U-shaped groove. The practicality of this guide rail is not high.
3. Plastic, although the plastic guide rail is easy to form, its hardness is relatively low and it is easy to break. And the price of plastic mold is relatively high.
4. Wood, the wood material can be processed into the shape of the guide rail profile, but the finish is still not comparable to that of metal, and the friction is relatively large, so it is not suitable for guide rails.
Some guide rails have high requirements on straightness and flatness, such as module profiles. In this case, aluminum profiles need to be finished. Now the machining accuracy of CNC machining centers is relatively high, and aluminum alloy guide rails are much easier to process than steel.

The company has the ability to develop and design molds independently, we can produce any extruded aluminum profiles according to your mechanical drawing or sample. Longkang has 10 extrusion production lines (600-3500 tons), one automatic oxidation electrophoresis production line, vertical and horizontal spraying production line per each, and a variety of advanced supporting production, processing and testing equipments. There are also CNT digital control drilling and milling machine(CNC), double head saw, hydraulic saw and punching machine in our processing workshop. The complete technological process can benefit to reduce the production turnover times for semi-finished products, to avoid the damage during transportation, improve the production efficiency, reduce the cost of production,and to ensure the quality and delivery time.
