This is a 304L stainless steel sheet with a width of 4 feet and a length of 8 feet. It is a standard export packaging size cold-rolled stainless steel sheet
304L stainless steel belongs to the low-carbon type of 304 stainless steel and has good corrosion resistance.
The thickness of this sheet is relatively thin, making it light and flexible.
Differences between 304L and 304
Different carbon content: The carbon content in 304L stainless steel is lower than that in 304 stainless steel.
The carbon content of 304L is generally no more than 0.03%, while the carbon content of 304 is usually below 0.08%.
During welding, 304L has a lower tendency to intergranular corrosion due to its low carbon content, and has better welding performance.
Corrosion resistance: 304L has slightly better corrosion resistance than 304 in some corrosive environments, especially after welding or high temperature use.
For example, in the chemical industry, when dealing with some highly corrosive media, 304L stainless steel sheets may be preferred.
Strength: The strength of 304 is usually slightly higher than that of 304L.
However, in some occasions where strength requirements are not high but corrosion resistance requirements are high, 304L will be more suitable.
304L stainless steel sheet
304L stainless steel sheet is a high-quality stainless steel material
Mainly containing about 18% to 20% chromium (Cr), about 8% to 12% nickel (Ni), and low carbon content (usually not more than 0.03%), the combination of these elements gives it good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance.
304L stainless steel sheet has good ductility and toughness, easy to process and form, and its sheet form makes it show good plasticity during bending, stamping and other processing.
304L stainless steel sheet has low carbon content, and the risk of hot cracking and intergranular corrosion during welding is small, and the performance of the joint after welding is stable.
