The use of silver ions is a well proven and accepted method of cleaning and inhibiting the growth of bacteria in drinking water. The method has been in use for decades and several government authorities have adapted the process as being one of the most efficient ways of drinking water treatment. Silver ions do not add taste, smell or change the water in any other means. As long as the concentration of silver ions is present in the water, there will be no bacteria in the water distribution system or in the storage tank.
