This ceiling light is fitted with the latest "COB" LED technology, providing the highest level of light output and the best colour rendering index (quality of light). Mounted infront of the LED is a reflector cone, spreading the light evenly to eliminate bright or dark spots or a yellow halo which otherwise can appear with some LED bulbs.
Unique design aluminium finned heat sink, providing superior heat dissipation by conduction and convection. This keeps the LED at the optimal operating temperature, ensuring it's life isn't cut short. Glass front cover protects the LED from the environment. Central bulb pivots in the frame to allow directional adjustment of the light.
Fire safety regulations always require recessed light fittings to be fire-rated whenever they’re fitted beneath occupied floors of a building. This particular model of Sourcechip LED ceiling light fulfils this requirement. The intumescent material used in its construction expands when heated to seal the ceiling and prevent the easy spread of flames. This provides crucial time for occupants of upper floors to evacuate.
