This print only, high performing machine has been engineered for long, unattended print runs. Equipped with Roland’s durable Eco-Sol Max inks, the VersaArt™ RE-640 supports a wide variety of indoor and outdoor applications such as banners, posters, signs, vehicle and wall graphics, backlit displays and a whole lot more, all at an incredible speed.
Roland Intelligent Pass Control™ combined with the latest print head technology, powerful VersaWorks™ RIP Software and legendary Eco-Sol Max inks produces unrivalled colour consistency, beautifully smooth gradations, flawless photographic reproductions and superb solid colour. The RE-640 is a high performance, incredibly fast, quality machine at an affordable price.
SUMMARY
The VersaArt RE-640 is equipped with the latest print head technology, featuring variable dot control for fast, flawless printing. Its unique design produces droplets of seven different sizes which captures the intricate details in your image. The result is high-density printing with vibrant colours, flawless photographic reproduction, smooth gradations and superb contrast.
For higher print quality at faster speeds, the RE-640 features a dual CMYK, mirrored print head (MYCKKCYM) that virtually eliminates banding during bi-directional printing. This configuration allows the machine to deliver high quality and consistent colour, even in the fastest print mode (23.1m²/hr)
Roland Intelligent Pass Control technology, developed by Roland software engineers, represents the pinnacle of inkjet printing. This patent-pending system precisely controls dot placement between passes and delivers unprecedented imaging performance in all resolutions. The technology actually enhances image quality at higher print speeds thereby increasing productivity. As a result, the RE-640 produces smooth gradations and flawless olid colours while achieving faster throughput with virtually no banding in all print modes
Eco-Sol Max ink is a remarkable ink technology which enhances the performance of the VersaArt RE-640. Powerful and versatile, Eco-Sol Max ink boasts an incredibly fast drying time, robust scratch resistance, a wide colour gamut and excellent durability. Ideal for both indoor and outdoor graphics Eco-Sol Max is suited for use on a wide range of coated and uncoated media, including backlit film and is water and UV resistant up to 3 years outdoors for CMYK graphics. For ultimate convenience, Eco-Sol Max is packaged in easy to handle and store cartridges available in 220cc and 440cc, these inks are virtually odourless and don't require any special ventilation equipment.
VersaArt RE-640 is ideal for long production runs thanks to its heavy duty media handling system that stabilise printer performance, ensures precision media feeding and support for media rolls up to 40kg. For unattended roll-to-roll printing, an optional take-up system is available.
Pair your VersaArt RE-640 printer with a CAMM-1 GX series vinyl cutter for high quality prints and accurately contour cut graphics. VersaWorks' support for the GX cutter series allows you to quickly and easily cut the most intricate designs for signs, banners, heat transfers, POP, vehicle wraps, labels and decals. The GX Features Roland's revolutionary Quadralign™ technology, which precisely reads crop marks on pre-printed data and aligns the graphic for perfect contour cutting.
Roland printers are designed to dry prints quickly even in high-speed modes for immediate finishing, installation or collection by the take-up system. The VersaArt RE-640 features a built-in 2-stage integrated heater system to accommodate a wide range of media options. This advanced system precisely controls the correct amount of heat for each application, yielding outstanding results every time. For maximum convenience, users can store individual settings within their printer.
Ideal for highly efficient printing environments, VersaArt RE-640 comes equipped with Roland's own 100 Base-TX/10 Base-T interface, which connects seamlessly to office networks without additional software.
