APZCQ Vacuum degasser is set behind shale shaker but ahead of all other equipment.
The vacuum degasser shall draw suction from the compartment immediately downstream from the sand trap. When the sand trap is in use, flow to the degasser compartment shall be over a long, high weir.
While the degasser is in use, there shall be no tank bottom equalization between the degasser compartment and those adjacent to it. The degasser capacity shall be at least equal to the planned circulation rate in all of the hole intervals in which gas intrusion is considered to be a hazard
APZCQ series Vacuum Degasser is a special-purpose device and a new type one for the treatment of gas in the drilling fluids. It can get rid of various gas of invasive drilling quickly. Vacuum degasser is very important for returning mud gravity, stabilizing mud viscosity and reducing drilling cost. Also, at the same time vacuum degasser can be used as a heavy-power agitator and supported applicable to all types of mud circulation purification system. The vaccum degasser design of the structure is scientific and rational. So we are able to achieve an effective gas-liquid separation, filter out impurities and to ensure that the exhaust pipe is always smooth
Vacuum degasser utilizes negative pressure by the vacuum pump to withdraw entrained gases from the mud. In order for this to work, mud is pumped through a venturi, which develops a negative pressure in the vessel by vacuum pump, thus sucking mud into the unit. The choice between horizontally- or vertically-mounted units are typically based on the footprint requirements of the specific rig.
