Well drilling fluids mixing pump` is the integration of venturi hopper or swirl hopper and centrifugal pump. We can set hopper and pump on skid together or separately. Hopper on tank top and pump on tank bottom skid. Considering whole mud system flow rate we can design the dual tandem mixing pump. Some users will request dual mixing hopper pump anyhow, since they will treat one set as spare one.
Mud mixing hopper unit is also referred to Jet mud mixer or mixing hopper pump. Since it's a combination of hopper and centrifugal pump. The hopper can be the venturi hopper or the whirl hopper. This lead is about mixing pump with venturi hopper
The model number means jet mud mixer of AIPU and the outlet is 6'', while the venturi nozzle is 2''. This model mixer fit centrifugal pump APSB8X6, and pump driven by motor 75HP. The flow rate is up to 1200gpm. If no special requirements the pump and motor will be configured as the standard one. But nowadays, more and more users need the higher flow rate mixer since the deeper well drilled. Such as ZJ90 rig. So the pump and hopper can be adjusted accordingly
On AIPU mud mixing pump, the centrifugal pump is mechanical sealed and rather reliable. There is high quality butterfly valve on pump pipelines. This will help to control mud flow rate and the compounding better during operation. The pressure is 0.2~0.4Mpa
