Mud gun is operated as the equipment to supplement drilling mud or mixing mud. Mud guns number decided by tank size. Mud gun is usually mounted on the square tube of mud tank top frame. Or it can be mounted close to mud tank.
According to the inlet pipe size, there are 2-inch mud guns and 3-inch mud gun for option. According to different structure features, there are two types of mud gun: fixed mud gun, and rotary mud gun.

Mud guns are also referred to as jet mixers. They are best used in tank corners to keep solids from settling and a mud agitator is placed in the tank center. Mud guns number is the same as the agitator number. Usually, 3 meters per set mud gun. Mud guns can help to mix drilling fluids completely, which even at the corner of mud tank. Besides mix drilling fluids, mud guns also help to clean mud tanks when necessary.
The length of mud gun defined by mud tank depth or height. Similar as the shaft on mud agitator. Mud guns connected with the mud gun lines on tank top. The line is 2'' or 3''. The mud gun inlet is 2'' or 3'' accordingly. Besides the mud gun length and diameter, the mud gun nozzles and rotatable or not are also customer-built.
Nozzle number of mud guns can be 2, 3 or 4. And the Pressure can be normal pressure or middle pressure or high pressure. Mud gun is made of high-quality seamless pipe connected with flange and valve, and the polyurethane nozzle. The rotation angle can be 0~360°. Some clients prefer the rotatable mud gun since to mix mud without a dead corner. And more flexible on jet position.
Except for 2in mud gun, we also have made mud gun with 3in and 4in pipe, the pressure range is 0.1Mpa~6.4Mpa. Higher pressure will perform better and safe jet work during drilling fluids mixing by mud guns. The mud gun assembly including handle, valve, flange, pipe, and nozzle. On the rotatable mud gun, there is a bearing between the elbow and the submerged pipe.
The bottom-type mud guns are connected with the bottom mud line and the nozzles are at higher positions, while the non-spin type is designed for mixing large volumes of fluids on top of a tank or pit also for transferring mud from compartment to another. It's more flexible to install mud gun in any position necessary.
