The Shear Pump is used to shear, refine, mix polymer, bentonite, etc drilling mud material. It can remove "fish-eye" to help to drill fluid achieve high property for oil drilling. Sunbo Shearing pump can save over 30% bentonite. Drilling mud shear pump is specially used to shear polymer and clay in drilling fluid. The polymer (or clay) in the drilling fluid system should be sufficiently cut in advance and then into the drilling fluid system, improve the performance of drilling fluid to give full play to its effectiveness. If not fully shearing, the polymer will block the shake screen in the first cycle. It will lose a massive amount of polymer, increase drilling cost, and may also make the large size of solid particles in drilling fluid difficult to be removed. Shear pump can make the polymer reduced by more than 15%, and the bentonite reduced by more than 30%. And it can also reduce mud cake and fluid loss, reduce drilling fluid shear rate, improve the gel strength, so as to achieve the advanced level of similar products abroad.

Shearing pump is designed to reduce cost of mixing polymers and clays while improving mud properties, it shears the polymers eliminates fish eyes and prevents polymer chaining which can’t pass through the shaker screen. Shearing pump consists of the impeller, casing, packing, shaft, belt, pulley, motor, base, and so on. The difference with other pump impeller is a more complicated structure. There are axial whirl flow, fluids reserve compartment, pump wheel, pressure cabin, shearing plate.

The axial flow whirl provides a certain quantity of fluids to the pump wheel and reserve cabin, 50% of this part fluids will flow into the reserved cabin, and the other half part flows into the casing. Pressure cabin is a special design to make sure fluids cabin holding drilling mud. The fluids flow is parallel to the shearing plate and introduces high flow velocity
