Product Introduction
Mud gas separators in other countries also called Poor boy degasser, Liquid-gas separators, Mud/Gas Separators, etc. It is an extremely reliable and vital piece of safety equipment for today’s drilling operations.This Mud gas Separators is primarily used to separate and safely vent large pockets of free gas, that may include toxic gases such as hydrogen sulfide, etc. from the drilling fluids processing system.
Drilling fluid with gas goes into the separator and drops along the inner wall. With collision to increase the contact area, it flows downward and becomes a turbulent state which makes gas separate from mud. The free gas goes through the top of vessel and is discharged from the gas outlet. The length of gas output pipe can be determined at the spot. The drilling fluid without gas flows into the following solids control equipment.
