Reaming shells are important parts of wireline core barrels,their functtions include reaming ,stabilizing and maintaing hte diameter of drilling hole.
Recommending two reaming shells in each hole to maintain hole diameter.When bit changes,the reaming shell should be checked for wear with bit and shell wear gauge in case a poorly stabilized or an undersized hole .
