Geological Drilling Wireline Drilling Core Barrel .Overshot Assembly Deep Hole
The major advantage of wireline drill tools is drilling deep holes for mineral exploration which can lift drill core from drill rods without picking up drilling rods and bits.
All the tools include principal parts of the drill tools,overshot assembly ,drill rods.holding dog,circle wrench and etc,their advantages are higher penetration,higher core recovery ratio.Longer bit life and lower labor intensity,and the advantages get more clear with the increasing of hole depth.
The head assembly has many parts,as latching and pivoting spear point mechanisms to allow insertion and retrieval of the inner tube assembly, a bearing assembly to allow the inner tube to remain stationary and avoid sample damage while drilling, fluid pressure operating indications and fluid control valves.
All head assemblies incorporate a shut off valve assembly which provides a fluid pressure signal to the drill operator when the valve members are compressed, indicating a full or blocked inner tube.
A Overshot is available for each size of core barrel. This is the retrieval device lowered on the wireline to recover
the inner tube assembly containing core.
The Q series overshot assembly is a kind of tool specially used to salvage and place inner tube assembly. At present, we have four kinds of Q series overshot assembly: BQ, NQ, HQ and PQ.
