The core material of inflatable Floating Fender is light-weight, energy-absorbing, bound-cell hydrophobic foam. Foam Floating Fender won't absorb water and crack. Polyurethane Floating Fender has high-performance outer coating. The Foam filled fenders Polyurethane protective coating has good performances such as impact resistance, friction resistance, compression resistance, oil resistance, water resistance, and weather resistance.
Foam filled fenders are also very often used in ship-to-ship and ship-to-quay berthing operations. They are used as alternatives to the normal pneumatic fenders. These fender are made of polyurethane elastomer skin( or rubber skin), nylon reinforcement layer and closed-cell resilient foam. The performance of foam elastomer fenders is comparable to that of a pneumatic fender, but the fenders will not lose their function in case the skin gets punctured, and they have a high degree of wear resistance.
