Product Description:
Gabion baskets, also called gabion boxes, are made of corrosion-resistant, high-strength and ductile galvanized wire or PVC coated wire through mechanical weaving. Wire material is zinc -5% aluminum alloy (galfan), low carbon steel, stainless steel or iron.
Gabion mattress is similar to gabion basket. But gabion mattress's height is lower than gabion basket, structure is flat and big. Gabion basket and gabion mattress are stone containers, uniformly partitioned into internal cells, interconnected with other containers and filled with stone at site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures to control and guide water or flood, protect dam or seawall, or used as retaining walls, channel lining and other applications.

Retaining Gabion Advantages:
1). Flexible structure to adapt to changes in the slope without being destroyed, better than the rigid structure with the security and stability;
2). Anti-erosion ability, able to withstand the maximum flow rate of up to 6m / s .
3). This structure has essentially permeability, groundwater and the filtering effect of the natural role of a strong inclusive, suspended matter and silt in the water to move in to fill the crevice in precipitation, which is conducive to the growth of natural plants, and gradually restore the original ecological environment.
Gabion Installation Process:
1. Ends,diaphragms,front and back panels are placed upright on the bottom section of wire mesh
2. Secure panels by screwing sprial binders through the mesh openings in adjacent panels
3. Stiffeners shall be placed across the corners, at 300mm from the corner. Providing a diagonal bracing,and crimped
4. Box gabion filled with graded stone by hand or with a shovel.
5. After filling,close the lid and secure with sprial binders at the diaphragms,ends,front and back.
6. When stacking tiers of the weled gabion,the lid of the lower tier may serve as base of the upper tier.Secure with sprial binders and add pre-formed stiffeners to exterior cells before filling with graded stones.
