The choice of hydraulic wrench depends on bolt size,
torque requirement and space scope.
Bolt size
Which bolts do you usually have in metric or imperial system? For example, M36, M42, M48, these refer to
metric bolts, M36 nut hexagonal opposite side is 55, M42 is 65, M48 is 75. One type of hydraulic wrench
can be selected. If the bolt specification span is too large, and the torque span is large, then pre-
tightening these bolts must choose a variety of types of wrenches.
Torque requirement
The specifications of bolts and the strength grade of bolts are the most important parameters for the
selection of hydraulic torque wrenches. Different bolts, different torque, the same bolt strength level
different torque, the same bolt strength level, different working conditions of the torque is also different.
For example, M36 bolts, strength level 8.8, torque 1764Nm; strength level 10.9. torque 2453Nm; strength
level 12.9. torque 2940Nm each industry is different, bolt strength level is different, specific circumstances are treated.
Bolt and nut space location
If there is no space restriction, which type of wrench can be used; Drive hydraulic wrench is the most
versatile; If the bolt is screwed to reveal a long thread or bolt space is limited, the best use of hollow
hydraulic wrench; If the nut spacing is narrow, hollow hydraulic wrench can be used.
Other points for attention
1) a type of hydraulic wrench can only solve several similar bolts, generally with 1-10 sleeves.
2) Conditional manufacturers should be equipped with an electric pump with two wrenches to use,
diagonal use, can improve efficiency, torque more accurate;
3) hydraulic wrench must be specially used, specially maintained and maintained regularly, such as oil
change and cleaning.
