Product description
The bearing shell is the contact part between the sliding bearing and the journal. It is a semi-circular cylindrical surface in the shape of a tile. It is very smooth. It is generally made of wear-resistant materials such as bronze and antifriction alloy. In special cases, it can be made of wood, engineering plastics or rubber. There are two types of bearing shells: integral type and split type. Integral bearing shells are usually called bushing. There are two kinds of integral bearing bush: oil groove and oil groove. Clearance fit is adopted between bearing bush and journal, which generally does not rotate with the shaft.

Movement characteristics
When the sliding bearing is operated by oil lubrication between the shaft and the bearing bush, a thin oil film is required between the bearing bush and the shaft for lubrication. If the lubrication is poor, there will be direct friction between the bearing bush and the shaft, which will produce high temperature. Although the bearing bush is made of special high temperature resistant alloy material, the high temperature generated by direct friction is still enough to burn it out. The bearing bush may also burn due to excessive load, high temperature, impurities in lubricating oil or abnormal viscosity and other factors. The sliding bearing was damaged after burning.
