Overview

1.1 Calculation of rated load

The rated load in the load table is divided into a part determined by strength and a part determined by stability. The calculation of the rated load determined by stability is based on ISO 4305:1991 "Determination of stability of mobile cranes". The rated load determined by stability is always within 75% of the tipping load.

1.2 Correct use of load tables

(1) Ground conditions: The rated load value is calculated based on the crane being located on a hard, level, evenly supported ground with a slope of less than 1%. If the ground does not meet the above requirements, the load value must be reduced according to the actual situation.

(2) Calculation of actual lifting capacity: When calculating the actual lifting load value, the weight of the lifting hook, sling and wire rope wrapped from the hook to the boom head must be subtracted from the rated load.

The SCC4000A extended arm can be equipped with a 16t ball hook (single ratio, maximum load 16t) and a 50t lifting hook (double ratio, maximum load 34t). The load table is calculated as follows:

Note: ① The wire rope wrapped around the hook (main hook, auxiliary hook) to the boom head is calculated as 3.69kg/m;

② In the above formula: P is the load table value of the main hook, and P' is the corresponding load table value of the auxiliary hook;

(3) The temperature allowed for crane operation is between -20℃ and 40℃.

(4) Wind speed: The rated load value is the value calculated by considering the allowable working wind speed under different working conditions. The SCC4000A crawler crane is allowed to operate when the steady wind speed or gust wind speed does not exceed 9.8m/s (when the boom length is less than 50m, the allowable steady wind speed or gust wind speed can be relaxed to 13.8m/s). That is, the maximum wind speed allowed for operation is 9.8-13.8m/s (equivalent to a dynamic pressure of 80-120 N/m2); when the wind speed is greater than 13.8m/s but less than 21m/s, the crane is not allowed to operate, but the boom can be kept upright; when the wind speed is greater than 21m/s, the boom must be lowered to the ground.

If the wind speed on site does not meet the above requirements, the load value must be appropriately reduced according to the actual situation before work is allowed! For detailed description of the impact of wind speed, see "Influence of Wind Speed" in the second operating instructions.

(5) Working range: The values on the load table are applicable when the crane makes a 360° rotation.

(6) Load value for hoisting travel: The rated load in the load table is the value when the crane is not hoisting travel. If the load value needs to be reduced for hoisting travel, the hoisting travel capacity is different in different working conditions. When traveling at a low speed and smoothly, the main arm working condition can carry 100% of the rated load for straight travel and 70% of the rated load for walking and turning; the fixed jib and variable jib working conditions can carry 100% of the rated load for straight travel.

Special attention should be paid to hoisting travel:

a) It is recommended to move the heavy object within the smallest possible range and keep the heavy object as close to the ground as possible (preferably no more than 500mm from the ground);

b) Use low gear as much as possible for hoisting travel and take appropriate measures to avoid load swing.
