Tungsten Carbide Core Bit
Tungsten Carbide Core Bits are designed especially for soil investigation and geotechnical drilling, but also suitable in some applications for mineral exploration. As the tungsten Carbide is softer than diamond stones, the formations which these bits are able to handle are limited in the range of soft or some medium rocks.
We supply two types of tungsten carbide core bits, Octagonal lnserts and Quadranguiar lnserts, The standard TC Insert type has a crown with a sawtooth profile, where each tooth is a tungsten carbide insert. Inserts may vary in shape: they may be flat plates that extend across the width of the crown, or octagonal shaped prisms arranged alternately on the inside and outside diameter of the crown. The octagonal inserts are more hard wearing because they have a greater number of cutting edges and are less prone to chip or shatter.
Unless otherwise specified, the octagonal inserts is the standard for this type of T.C. core bits, with various sizes according to different bit kerf widths.

Attention:
1.The difference between the outer diameter of the bit and the reamer should be reasonable, the outer diameter of the reamer
is 0.3-0.5mm larger than the outer diameter of the bit, and the hard formation should not more than 0.3mm.
2.When the new bit reaches the bottom of the hole light pressure (1/3 of the normal pressure),
slow turn (about 100rimin), and then continue drilling with normal parameters after the initial grinding for 10 minutes.
3.When drilling in soft rock layer, the pressure should be reduced appropriately. When drilling in intact, medium-hard orhard
rock formations, the pressure on bit should be appropriately increased; When drilling in fractured, fractured and heterogeneous
rock formations, the pressure on bit should be appropriately reduced, generally by 25%-50%.
