From the fluid mechanics point of view, the pressure reducing valve is a local resistance can change the throttling element, that is, by changing the throttling area, the flow rate and the kinetic energy of the fluid change, resulting in different pressure losses, so as to achieve the purpose of decompression. Then rely on the adjustment of the control and adjustment system, so that the fluctuation of the pressure after the valve is balanced with the spring force, so that the pressure after the valve is kept constant within a certain error range.

Second, the working principle of the pressure reducing valve

When someone uses water after the inlet pressure reducing valve, the water generates pressure loss through the spool, the pressure loss is determined by the size of the spool opening, and the spool opening size is determined by the spring force, so by adjusting the top spring of the inlet pressure reducing valve to control the spool opening, thus controlling the pressure loss can obtain the required pressure after the valve.

When the inlet pressure reducing valve is unmanned after the valve, the pressure behind the valve increases, then the pressure after the valve and the pressure before the valve is greater than the spring force will push the valve core upward (the pressure reducing valve is in a normally open state, then the fluid in front of the valve and the fluid after the valve are completely separated, at this time the pressure at the outlet of the pressure reducing valve is greater than the set value, but due to the inertia, the upward motion of the diaphragm will not stop at once, It will continue to move upward a little, which is equivalent to the valve chamber at the outlet becomes larger, the volume becomes larger, and the pressure of the internal liquid decreases until it is exactly equal to the set pressure value of the pressure reducing valve outlet.

Third, pressure reducing valve classification

1, acting pressure reducing valve

The simplest pressure reducing valve, direct acting pressure reducing valve, with flat diaphragm or bellows. Because the pressure relief valve is self-contained, there is no need to install an external sensing line downstream. It is the smallest and most economical of the three pressure reducing valves, designed for medium and low flow rates. The accuracy of direct acting pressure reducing valves is usually +/-10% of the downstream set point.

2, film type pressure reducing valve

In this type of pressure reducing valve, the double diaphragm replaces the piston in the internal pilot pressure reducing valve. This increased diaphragm area enables a larger main valve to be opened and has a larger capacity than an internal pilot piston pressure reducing valve for the same pipe size. In addition, the pressure reducing valve diaphragm is more sensitive to pressure changes, with an accuracy of +/-1%. The higher accuracy is due to the positioning of the downstream sensing line (outside the valve), where there is less gas or liquid turbulence. The pressure reducing valve is very flexible and can be used with different types of pressure reducing valve pilot valves (such as pressure valves, temperature valves, air loading valves, solenoid valves or several valves at the same time).

3, piston type pressure reducing valve

This type of pressure reducing valve integrates two types of valves - pilot valve and main valve - into one. The design of the pilot valve is similar to that of the direct acting pressure reducing valve. The exhaust pressure from the pilot valve acts on the piston, causing it to open the main valve. If the main valve is large and cannot be opened directly, this design will use the inlet pressure to open the main valve. As a result, this type of pressure reducing valve offers higher capacity and accuracy (+/-5%) at the same pipe size compared to direct-acting pressure reducing valves. The same as the direct-acting pressure reducing valve, the pressure reducing valve is internally sensed without the need for external installation of the sensor line.

The pressure reducing valve is a special device that automatically reduces the working pressure of the pipeline, and its function is to automatically reduce the higher gas (steam) pressure to the required low gas (steam) pressure after the given pressure reduction range; When the gas (vapor) pressure on the high pressure side fluctuates, it can play an automatic adjustment role, so that the gas (vapor) pressure on the low pressure side is stable.
