Stainless Steel 310S Plates are one of the more widely used stainless steel alloys. It is comprised of up to 24% chromium, 19% nickel, and up to 0.08% carbon, along with other trace elements like manganese, sulfur, phosphorus, and silicon. It is strong, heat-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and even has high-temperature oxidation resistance. It can be used in a variety of applications, such as burners, oil burners, and evaporator pipes and tubings. Its affordability makes it ideal for many uses requiring low-cost maintenance materials.
The high chromium content of 310S stainless steel plates allows them to withstand oxidizing atmospheres up to 2100°F (1149°C). It also has outstanding weldability characteristics with good notch toughness and ductility. In addition to its corrosion and heat resistance capabilities, it provides excellent low-temperature properties down to -20°F (-29°C) making it an ideal material for cryogenic applications. Finally, it has good oxidation resistance that protects scaling up to 2000°F (1093°C), making it the most recommended option in high-temperature industries.
