Product Description:
A hex bolt consists of three main parts:
Head: The hexagonal (six-sided) head is designed for tool engagement, typically with a wrench or socket. This shape allows for high torque application, ensuring a tight and secure fit.
Shank: The shank is the unthreaded or partially threaded body of the bolt. In fully threaded bolts, the shank is entirely threaded, while in partially threaded bolts, only a portion of the shank is threaded.
Threads: The threaded portion is used to secure the bolt into a tapped hole or nut. The threads provide the clamping force necessary to hold components together.
