Function in textile:
CMC is utilized as textile sizing. Given that CMC has stable characteristics and excellent film-forming properties, it has a high affinity with cellulose yarns and makes the film highly strong, reducing the "yarn skipping" and "end breakage" phenomena on high-speed looms. The sizing film formed by CMC is water-soluble and biodegradable. As a fabric finishing agent, it can replace traditional starch sizing and substantially reduce the environmental pollution caused by fabric re-sizing and desizing.
