absorption. It can absorb moisture from the air and deliquescence. When FeC13
precipitates from an aqueous solution, it carries six crystalline phases. The resulting water
is FeC13·6H20, and hexahydrate ferric chloride is an orange yellow crystal. Ferric chloride is an important iron salt.
