1. Description of Zirconia Ceramic Bead Blasting Media

Generally, there are four kinds of zirconia beads according to different zirconia content:

Zirconia Ceramic Beads,60-66% zirconia,which is used for blasting media

65 zirconia beads, Min 65% zirconia,which is used for grinding media

80 zirconia beads,Min 80% Zirconia,which is used for grinding media

95 zirconia beads,Min 95% zirconia, which is also used for grinding media

Here we mianly introduce the first zirconia ceramic beads,which is widely used for blasting media.

That zirconia ceramic beads is made from the fusion of zircounium sand in an electric furnace under 

high temperature over 2000 degree,then made into different micro beads through special production 

process.

It has smooth surface and good elasticity,which could be rebounded in multi-angles,it is suitable for

sandblasting for the metal surface,then achieve different matte effect and good visual effect.

3. Why Zirconia Ceramic Bead is suitable for one blasting media?

Firstly,zirconia ceramic bead has high hardness and light weight,there will be formed one strong plastic

deformation on the treatment surface when a large quantity of beads are sprayed onto the treatment 

surface,it will finally achieved one surface strengthening layer to improve the fatigue strength.

Secondly,ceramic beads is not easy to be broken down in the long time blasting period,the non-broken 

beads will continue to keep its original shape,the beads in the blasting equipment will almost keep the 

same quantity and shape,when they are sprayed onto the treatment surface,it will offers the consistent

blasting effect. In addition,people do not need to refuel the beads frequently,it will save their working time 

as well as the blasting efficiency.

Thirdly,Ceramic Beads is in white color and contains 65% of ZrO2,then there will be no ferrous contamination

to the treatment surface,it is more suitable for the working conditions where ferrous contamination is concerned.

Fourthly,Ceramic beads has no hidden silicosis danger due to its low abrasion rate,it is an green blasting media.
