1. Product Description of Synthetic Aluminum Oxide Black Fused Alumina
Black Aluminum Oxide is one kind of synthetic electric corundum,it contains about 60-80% Al2O3, also has sharp
shape in black color,so it is named as black fused alumina or black aluminum oxide.
Generally speaking,electric corundum is generally divided into four types as below:
White Fused Alumina in white color,which contains 99.2% Al2O3
Brown Fused Alumina in brown color,which contains 95.0% Al2O3
Black Fused Alumina in black color,which contains 60-80% Al2O3
Pink Fused Alumina in pink color,which contains 96.5% Al2O3 and 1.0-2.0% Cr2O3
Black aluminum oxide is not so well-known as the one of white and brown aluminum oxide,at the beginning,it is just
used for polishing purpose,recently years,it is applied to the abrasives industry and gradully make full use of its
unique advantages.

3. Main Features of Synthetic Aluminum Oxide Black Fused Alumina
Black aluminum oxide contains 60-80% alumina,it has moderate hardness,will generate little heat in the treatment
surface,which is hardly to burn the treatment,this advantages is extremely outstanding in polishing stainless steel
tablewares.
Black aluminum oxide is in micro-crystalline state,the aluminum oxide is surrounded by silica particles,in the polishing
or cutting process,it will be separated from the silica particles and fall off,then appears a new edge again to play the
role of grinding and polishing effect,which is similar to the principe of SG abrasive.
Compared with brown aluminum oxide,black aluminum oxide adopts lower grade bauxite as well as lower power enengy,
so its cost is 40% lower than the one of brown aluminum oxide.
4. Main Applications of Synthetic Aluminum Oxide Black Fused Alumina
Black aluminum oxide P40 P60 P80 P120 is widely used for make coated abrasives such as sand belts, sand paper,flap
wheels,fiber wheels,it will achieve better polishing effect when black aluminum oxide is mixed with the harder abrasives
such as brown alumina to make coated abrasives.
In addition,black aluminum oxide is also used for making bonded abrasives,polishing& blasting media,fiber wheels,anti-skid
aggregates,break pad etc.
