Chromium carbide steel plate offers superior strength and corrosion resistance. This bimetallic product starts with a mild steel base plate that is then fused by welding with chrome carbide steel. Up to 32% chrome (chromium) and up to 5.8% carbon, chromium carbide metallurgically bonds to the steel’s surface to form a protective and durable surface that will not separate from the base metal.
