1. Working principle of centrifugal pump
Before the pump starts, fill the pump and the inlet pipe with water. After the pump runs, under the action of centrifugal force generated by the high speed rotation of the impeller, the water in the impeller runner is thrown around and pressed into the volute. The impeller inlet forms a vacuum. Then the inhaled water is thrown out by the impeller through the volute and into the outlet pipe.
Thus, if the centrifugal pump impeller is constantly rotating, can continue to absorb water, pressure water, water can continuously from the low to the height or distance. In summary, the centrifugal pump is due to the centrifugal force generated by the high speed rotation of the impeller, the water to the high, so called centrifugal pump.
2. General characteristics of centrifugal pump
(1) the flow direction of water along the centrifugal pump is axial suction along the impeller, perpendicular to the axial outflow, that is, in and out of the flow direction of each other at 90°.
(2) because the centrifugal pump forms a vacuum suction by the impeller inlet, so before starting must be poured into the pump and suction pipe water diversion, or vacuum pump pumping, in order to exhaust air to form a vacuum, and the pump shell and suction pipe must be strictly sealed, no air leakage, otherwise formed a vacuum, also suction water.
