The role of the connecting rod is to transfer the force between the piston and the crankshaft, and turn the reciprocating motion of the piston into the rotation motion of the crankshaft, the connecting rod should ensure sufficient strength and stiffness.
The connecting rod of the engine is a die forging part, which consists of the small head of the connecting rod, the rod body and the big head of the connecting rod. The small head of the connecting rod is equipped with a bronze bushing, which is connected with the piston through the piston pin. The big end of the connecting rod is separable, with semicircular bearing inside, and the big end is connected with the connecting rod journal of the crankshaft.
