Like most adhesive-based products, unused laminating film will degrade over time. The shelf-life for lamination (in both pouch and roll form) is generally between 18 months and two years, after which the adhesive will begin to deteriorate.

I'm not sure how this could be used to make stick on labels... unless you screen printed directly onto the non-adhesive side of the lamination film with a solvent ink
