Corrugating roller is the "mold" of corrugating, and it is the key component of single-sided machine. The corrugated base paper is pressed into corrugated corrugated corrugated paper by the combination of upper and lower corrugating rollers. The material, surface performance and wear resistance of corrugated roller directly affect the quality of corrugated. The matching pressure (gap), parallelism and proper middle height of corrugated rollers are the important technical indexes of corrugated rollers.
Corrugating roller is a hollow cylinder rotating shaft structure, which is composed of two shaft heads and a cylinder. The shaft head and cylinder are interference fit, and the joint is connected by airtight weld. The lower corrugating roller is a driving roller, which is meshed with the upper corrugating roller through its teeth, and at the same time, the roller surface drives the upper corrugating roller to rotate synchronously to realize embossing. The deceleration mechanism drives the lower corrugated roller to move, and the lower corrugated roller is prone to fatigue failure under the action of large torque load.
Corrugating roller surface treatment
When the corrugated roller is worn and its shape changes, it will directly affect the forming quality and strength of cardboard. In order to improve the hardness of the roller, the roller surface should be treated to make the corrugated roller have good hardness and wear resistance. The shaping of corrugated is realized by a certain clamping force between the upper and lower corrugated rollers. This clamping force comes from the left and right sides of the upper corrugated roller, which is also the reason why the roller is easily distorted. In order to obtain the pressure evenly distributed along the width, it is required that the roller should have a middle crown to compensate for the deformation after being pressed.

There are ion nitriding, chrome plating after intermediate frequency or ultrasonic frequency, laser after ion nitriding, WC spraying, gas phase and ion deposition, etc.
Tungsten carbide corrugated roller has outstanding advantages in overcoming various defects and losses caused by abrasion, so it is favored by the majority of corrugated box enterprises. Tungsten carbide roller melts tungsten carbide alloy powder by thermal spraying technology, and sprays it on the surface of corrugated roller to form tungsten carbide coating. Its service life is 3 ~ 6 times longer than that of common corrugated roller, and its height is almost constant throughout the service life of corrugated roller, which ensures the stable quality of corrugated paper, reduces the usage of corrugated paper and adhesive by 2% ~ 8%, and reduces the rejection rate.
