Carbon steel seamless pipes are widely used in the transportation of fluids, such as water, oil, gas, and other substances. Carbon steel seamless pipes can be manufactured to different specifications and standards. For example, the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) designates different types of carbon steel based on their composition and properties.

The most common types of carbon steel used in manufacturing seamless pipes are low carbon steel, medium carbon steel, high carbon steel, and ultra-high carbon steel. Low carbon steels are also known as mild steels or plaincarbon steels. These steels typically have a carbon content below 0.30%. Medium carbon steels have a carbon content between 0.30% and 0.60%. Highcarbon steels have a carbon content above 0.60%. Ultra-highcarbon steels have a carbon content above 1.0%.
 

Different methods can be used to produce seamless pipes from these different types of carbonssteel. The most common method is hot rolling, where the raw material is heated to temperatures above its recrystallization point and then rolled into the desired shape. Other methods include cold drawing and cold rolling, which involves passing the raw material through rollers at room temperature or slightly above room temperature to achieve the desired shape.
