Tubes are made with epoxy resin systems which have virtually zero water absorption making them more suitable for marine-based use than lower quality tubing made with vinyl ester or polyester resin systems.
We have in-house paint facilities and are able to finish tubes with UV stable paint systems, protecting the tubing against inevitable long exposure to the elements.

Aside from aesthetic variations of our many round stock tubes, you might also wish to consider their superb mechanical properties as well. Roll wrapped tubing is manufactured using multiple layers of prepreg carbon fiber (and if noted, other) materials. In general, each layer is about 0.006 inches thick which means that a tube with a wall thickness of 0.060 inches will typically be composed of 9-10 individual layers of carbon fiber. The number of layers (plies) allows us to vary the orientation of the fibers throughout the thickness, creating a high-performance, engineered product.
