• The blind spot monitor or blind-spot monitoring is a vehicle-based sensor device that detects other vehicles located to the driver’s side and rear. Warnings can be visual, audible, vibrating, or tactile.
• Blind spot monitors may do more than monitor the sides and rear of the vehicle. They may also include "Rear Cross-Traffic Alert", "which alerts drivers backing out of a parking space when traffic is approaching from the sides."

In addition to sounding an audible alarm(buzzer sound)and lowering the radlo volume(when playing therad10),the bsm system also activates the bsm warning light onthe rear-viewmirror to notifythe driver ofvehicles or objects in the monitoring area.
The bsm monitoring area covers approximately one lane on both sides of the vehicle.this area starts,approximately fromthe exterior rearviewmirror and extends to approximately 6m behindthe vehicle. whenthe vehicle is driving,the bsm systemwil monitor the areafrom 3 differententry points (side, rear,overtaking)to determine whether a warning is needed.

1.close: prohibitall visual and audible alarms related to the target of interest in the blind spotarea.
2.ledlighting: if there is awarningtarget in the blind spot area, the blind spot monitoring module onlyrequests the visual led alarm of the corresponding exterior rearview mirror.
3.the led lights up and the buzzer buz2es: if there is a warning target in the blind spot and the corresponding side steering switch is turned on, the blind spot monitoring module requests the visual led and audible alarm of the corresponding side mirror.on the contrary, ifthe turn signal switch is not turned on,only the Warning targetis detected,and only the visual alarm led indicator will be performed.
