Working Principles

Boiler economizer is kind of heat exchanger to heat the feed water using the flue gas heat. The flue gas coming from the tube outside is up and down cross-flow scrubbing the tube bundle, passing the heat to the tube wall. The water is flowing from bottom to top, and absorts the heat from the tube wall, and its temperature is getting high. This way not only can countercurrent heat transfer to save metal consumption, but also is good for water/steam to flow and exhaust as well as decreasing corrusion. One more, this way works well for dust cleaning.

Function

(1) The economizer is a steam generation system as like a boiler. when the exhaust gas discharge from the engine cylinder through the exhaust valve it goes to the boiler for generate steam by heating of water.

(2) After those gas it goes through the economizer the remaining exhaust gas temperature is heated the water in economiser. it help to generate steam, and it is improving the efficiency and save the fuel consumption

(3) An economizer uses the waste heat from the boiler exhaust, that would otherwise be lost to atmosphere to (in most cases) preheat the feed water into the boiler.This improves the boiler efficiency and reduces fuel costs.

Advantages

• Fuel saving: After the high temperature fuel gas released by fuel combustion transfers to the boiler water wall tubing, superheater, and reheater, the temperature is extremely high, the economizer makes it ideal for preventing heat loss. The economizer located at the flue of the boiler reduces the flue gas temperature, and maximizes the heat recovery to lower customer fuel costs.
• Improvement of boiler steam drum working conditions: When entering the steam drum, the temperature of the feed water is increased after it has been heated using the economizer. The thermal stress caused by the temperature difference between the steam drum wall and the feed water is reduced, thus reducing the shrink and swell of the steam drum, and extends the service life.
• Cost reduction of coal fired boilers: Water is being heated in the boiler economizer made using low temperature material. This makes the economizer a less costly replacement for high temperature boiler water wall tubing, and reduces overall boiler manufacturing costs.
