How does it work
The principle of super-large ceiling fans is to move large amounts of air by using slow-rotating, large-diameter fan blades to break up the air stratification. The low speed of the fan makes it more efficient at converting electrical energy into useful laminar flow. Instead of creating high speed, useless turbulence and drag, you end up just creating unwanted heat.
These large blades move more air (typically 5-20 times) than smaller ceiling fans and have the same cooling effect. No other cooling system is as energy efficient as a system with HVLS industrial fans.
In fact, research shows that companies can reduce or even completely eliminate the use of expensive air conditioning systems through optimized extra large ceiling fan solutions. Some extra large ceiling fan vendors provide 3D thermodynamic models of customer rooms, which proves the effectiveness of extra large ceiling fan as a cost-effective air cooling system.
