Application Scope of Powered Belt Conveyors
Powered Belt Conveyors is continuous transporting equipment for loose bulk materials such as coke, coal, limestone, sand and gravel. Inclined Cleated belt conveyor adopts high quality conveyor belt with corrugated sidewall and horizontal baffle. Sidewall belts are used to convey material up inclines. The sidewall increases the carrying capacity of the belt and prevents product from falling off the edges of the belt. Hot vulcanization provides 5 times greater adhesion between the belt and sidewall, eliminating the need for bolting the sidewall to the base belt. Greater adhesion also prevents the sidewall from lifting and separating from the base belt, extending the belt life.

Working Principles of Powered Belt Conveyors

Powered Belt Conveyors is mainly composed of head transmission device, tail tension device and conveyor belt. The traction component and load-bearing component are a endless belt, which is wound on the transmission drum and steering drum at both ends of the frame. There is a tensioning device at the tail for tensioning, and it is supported by idler along the length of the belt to form a closed loop. When the driving device drives the driving drum to rotate, the friction between the driving drum and the belt drives the belt to run. The transported materials are generally added to the belt by the guide groove, and the materials are transported to the discharge device of the head for discharge with the movement of the belt.

• Belt conveyor should be operated in according to design requirement.

• Belt conveyors are not allowed to overload run.

• Check wear condition of the belt, the damaged should be repaired.

• Operators should circuit to inspect to close observe belt conveyor running. Especially,temperature rise and noise of main motor and the brake working whether they are normal; contact state of the brake and oil level, noise of gear unit and run off of belt should be noticed;temperature rise and noise of all bearings and state of all transition loads point should be noticed;

  notice to see whether the hopper are blocked, working state of pulley, idler, belt cleaner, take-ups and control equipment.

• Operators should make good record if any abnormal. The belt conveyor should be stoppe on emergency.

• Periodic overall: Minor overall should be once every monthes besides ordinary maintenance Overhaul should be once half past year or once every year.
