GENERATOR LOAD BANK test includes an evaluation and evaluation of a generator set. It confirms that each primary part of the generator set is in the best possible working condition under load conditions. The equipment used to perform a load bank test produces artificial loads on the generator by bringing the engine to proper operating temperatures and pressures. This is particularly significant for backup and crisis generator sets that do not run regularly and cannot run to carry large loads most of the time. The general standard is: If your generator is not running at more than 30% of its estimated kW load, then you should consider a load test.

A load bank test ensures that your generator will function properly when needed so that you can completely trust it during a crisis. The way to do a proper load bank test is to test your generator at its full kilowatt (kW) output capacity. Since many generators do not operate regularly at their maximum kW power, you must verify that your generator can deliver the highest imaginable power that may be necessary, while maintaining satisfactory levels of temperature and weight that will allow it to continue operating for as long as vital.
