Goodyear flight radial tires for Airbus A321XLR

 

Goodyear Radial air tires, with technology and features that support dimensional stability for extended service life and improved cutting resistance. The radial structure of the tire facilitates more landings, and the optimized bead design reduces weight.

The ultra-lightweight tire has been certified as a system component by aircraft manufacturer Airbus and is in a position to optimize efficiency and reduce weight. "The Goodyear Radial tire is one of the approved accessories for the new A321XLR," said Octavian Velcan, General manager of OTR & Aviation EMEA. "When designing this product, our main goal was to find a balance between the required ruggedness and keeping the tires as light as possible. To achieve this, we worked closely with Airbus and provided optimized bead design and aero-quality materials to meet their business needs."

1. Lightweight Aluminum Core Bead ™ Technology Aluminum cord bead helps reduce the weight of each tire while maintaining the geometry, strength, and durability of the tire and bead.

2. Merged Cord™ Technology DuPont ™ Kevlar® is wrapped with nylon for increased strength and weight reduction. It also reduces body growth, increases resistance to foreign body damage, and provides excellent wear resistance, extending tread life.

3. .DiamondWeave webbing technology is designed to help optimize tire performance: a specialized cord arrangement optimizes tread wear.
