Attention for using magnetic powder brake:

1. Install it with correct mounting method (make high-speed rotation side as the input side) to use the magnetic powder clutch. If the mechanical structure of output and input shafts have to be installation reversely, make sure to use the under 1000R/MIN. If the output shaft and input shaft be installed reversely, which will make the machine idle for a long time, the magnetic powder clutch will greatly shorten the life by mixing magnetic powder.

2. Note the moisture. If the magnetic is damp, then performance will become unstable, so be careful do not to let the oil or water get into the housing. Especially when installed in the gear box, oil penetrated the internal branch of the housing through the shaft, so please seal it with film completely.

3. Note the surface temperature. Caused by continuous operation, the maximum temperature of the surface is below 90 degree when running more, than the value and durability will be greatly reduced. Make sure to limit the temperature will not above90 degree, make sure to keep the use of sliding within allowed work range

Notes

1. Don’t overload, meanwhile cool to appropriate temperature

The value of the torque/rotational speed/slip power should be less than the rated value. The cooling mode(natural cooling/forced air cooling/water cooling) should depend on the maximum slip power when it works and the cooling air should pass the water and oil filter. The temperature detector and the alarm should be installed to prevent high temperature which can affect the service life of the magnetic powder.(the highest temperature is 80 degree)

2. Concerning the torque

After the high qualiity magnetic powder clutch and electromagnetic power brake working, the magnetic powder will be in grinding at the beginning which leads to the torque decreasing slightly, but the gap can be compensated through adjustment the current.

3. Concerning the service life

The life of the magnetic powder clutch and magnetic brake rely on the life of the magnetic powder. Generally speaking, its service life is 4500-7500hours in the state of non overloaded; but its service life can extend several times in some cases, such as: the working torque of the magnetic powder clutch/brake,relative slip rotational speed and slip power can be reduced to 50%-70% of the rated value. This is to say, the margin can be enlarged as soon as possible when designing.

Honestly, it depends on the order quantity and the type of our products. For tension controller, load cell and edge position controller which is about 1-3 days. For powder clutch, powder brake which need about 3-5days.

5. What is the term of delivery?
We can arrange with EXW, FOB, CIF…etc. You can choose the most convenient one or cost-effective way.
