Standard description:
IEC60884-1 clause 20 Breaking capacity
Accessories shall have adequate breaking capacity.
Compliance is checked by testing socket-outlets and plugs with pins which are not solid, by means of an appropriate test apparatus, an example of which is shown in figure 16. Plug Socket Test Equipment
IEC60884-1 clause 21 Normal operation
Accessories shall withstand without excessive wear or other harmful effect, the mechanical, electrical and thermal stresses occurring in normal use.
