Although it is slightly insufficient in cooling performance, in terms of heating, R1234yf can only work at minus 10 degrees, and PTC auxiliary heating and defrosting are required when the temperature is lower than this temperature (the national mandatory factory regulations require defrosting at minus 18 degrees frost), and carbon dioxide solves the problem of low COP value of R1234yf at low temperature and insufficient heating capacity at low temperature. Comparing the comprehensive performance comparison of CO2 and R1234yf applied to heat pump systems, CO2 refrigerant is expected to become the main technical route of heat pump air conditioners.
