Description:
Rotary cut birch veneer, originated from the northeast of china and Russia, is mainly used for furniture surface and plywood making.
The grain of rotary birch veneer is straight and shallowly interlocked, sometimes wavy, and its texture medium.
Rotary cut will yield veneer with a broad grain pattern with no plain sliced or quartered appearance. This process yields the most rotary veneer per log and is usually less expensive than sliced veneer.
Rotary birch veneer, also known as whole piece birch wood veneer orrotary cut white birch veneer, is typically a pale cream to a pink tinged light yellow wood that ages to a deep pale gold color. Birch, White Rotary Cut Whole PieceFlexVen™ 10 is a 10mil 4’ x 8’ (32 sq. ft.) paper backed flexible veneer sheet. It is a whole piece veneer which has noseams or splice lines with the grain running along the 8’ dimension. Rotary cut white birch wood veneer commonly allows for some defects such as occasional pin knots and mineral streaks. Birch is a hardwood of medium density, easy to work with and strong. It has a smooth texture, tight uniform grain and satiny sheen. Another common grain characteristic of rotary cut birch veneer is an inconsistent ripple figure throughout the field. Whole piece white birch wood veneer will accept stains and finishes well and is often stained with bold colors or to mimic other species.
Rotary birch veneer is also used in the manufacture of quality utility plywoods, such as marine plywood or as a face option for light weight plywood, and is also used as a low cost balancer where a veneered panel only requires one decorative face veneer.
