8AMC Thermal Protector Motor Thermal Protection Switch With PTC
The most salient feature of 8AMC series motor thermal protection switch is large volume and large current carrying capacity. Protector with PTC heating system is reset manually.8AMC series thermal protector is a kind of current, temperature protector. Its features are huge electricity capacity, long life-span and excellence reliability. It is mainly used in agitator, water pump motor, wash machine motor, automobile motor and other motors over 1hp.
Applications:
It is mainly used for capacitor start motors, automobile motor, ballast protection, split-phase motors, automotive accessory motors and transformer, etc.
Working principle
This 8AMC thermal protective device is designed to be sensitive both to current and temperature. The heat generated from the rotation of motor, combined with the current thermal effect of the bimetal, contributes to a temperature rise that the bimetal can sensitively detect. Then the 2 contacts separate and the circuit is open. When the temperature cools down to the prescribed reset value, the bimetal flips again and makes the circuit closed.
Feature
1. Temperature protection
When ambient temperature exceeds the specified value, the inside bimetal of 8AMC series will trip off to cut the circuit. When the temperature lowers down, the bimetal will reset and the circuit is connected again.
2. Current protection
The current flows through the bimetal disc and auxiliary heater is also combined together with bimetal, which can control the trip off time precisely. When the current exceeds the prescribed value, 8AMC will cut the circuit immediately.
