The Beanie is made from soft, comfortable recycled polyester knit that stays dry on powder days, insulates even when wet and feels smooth and itch-free on the skin.Design features include a textured knit construction, three-inch rib-knit cuff and pom-pom styling. Made with 100% recycled polyester with a textured knit construction, this timeless beanie is itch-free and quick-drying.Adopted fleece into their product line made from post consumer recycled (PCR) plastic soda bottles. They were the first outdoor clothing manufacturer to do so. PCR clothing was a positive step towards a more sustainable system – one that uses fewer resources, discards less and better protects people’s health. Today, Patagonia are able to utilize more sources for recycled polyester and offer it on more garments such as Capilene baselayers, shell jackets, board shorts, and fleece. They now recycle used soda bottles, unusable manufacturing waste, and worn out garments (including their own) into polyester fibers to produce many of our clothes. Using recycled polyester lessens the dependence on petroleum as a raw material source, curbs discards and reduces toxic emissions from incinerators
