SunMan
SunMan, a highly efficacious β-mannanase, can contribute to improving the production performance and immunity of animals.
As one of non-starch polysaccharides (NSPs), mannan is abundant in plant ingredients, such as soybean meal, palm meal, etc., and partly has negative impact on nutrients utilization and absorption of animals. Mannan affects the utilization of nutrients mostly by increasing the viscosity of chyme in animals’ intestine and decreasing the rate of diffusion between nutrients and digestive enzymes.
SunMan is composed of β-mannanase which can hydrolysis the mannan containing β-1,4 glycosidic bond, contributes to removing the anti-nutritional effects of NSPs, enhance the utilization of nutrients, and improve the growth and production performance of animals.
Mechanism and characteristics
How does β-mannanase work ?
1) Decrease the viscosity
The mannan can be hydrolyzed into mannan-oligosaccharide by β-mannanase, which greatly reduce the viscosity of chyme in intestine and also increase the effective interaction between nutrients and mucosal surface.
2) Break the structure of plant cell wall
Under the synergistic effect of β-mannanase and other NSP enzymes, the plant cell wall can be disintegrated and the intracellular nutrients can be released.
3) Regulate the intestinal microflora
As one of the hydrolysis products of mannan, mannan-oligosaccharide has positive impact on the proliferation of intestinal probiotics, and then strengthen the immunity of animals.
